Even though Spring officially began a little while ago, it’s really started to feel like it in Maisons-Laffitte. Walking around the park is beautiful. The trees are getting their leaves back and the sun in the sky- life never felt so good.
Having not been in the park for a fair few weeks over my Easter holidays, I’ve really seen the change. Looking down Avenue Albine towards the chateau is so much more pleasant to look at than it was in the depths of winter. I wish I’d taken some before and after shots now!
Whilst I was out and about walking through the park, I noticed this street sign, which has become part of its tree over the years, mangling and warping it in the process. I thought it was pretty cool so I got a picture!
I’m only writing a short update this time to reflect the brevity of the walk I took in the park! I think I’ll have to head back out soon, and create a photo tour of Maisons Laffitte… maybe. I also really want to visit more chateaus close to Paris – namely Versailles and Vincennes, which are really not incredibly far from my house. Actually, there is a walk on the Coulée Verte from near the Château de Vincennes to Bastille which looks fun too! I expect there’ll be posts on the above topics very soon.
